Meet the Team – Deborah Buiey

We thought it would be a great idea to help you get to know the team at Pediatric Care Center. Periodically we will feature one of our great staffers here on our blog.

First upDeborah Buiey!

Deborah Buiey

Deborah, a Kentucky native and mother of 4, coordinates referrals at the Jacksonville Beach office. When she isn’t working, she enjoys fishing and caring for her three goldfish and a Dalmadon. What’s a Dalmadon you ask? A mix between a Dalmatian and Labrador.

Our on-the-scene reporter asked Deborah a few questions about her work at the office, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Are you what you wanted to be when you grew up?
A: YES! When I was young and went to my pediatrician, I wanted to be the nurse sitting behind the desk with the nurses hat. When I graduated from Concorde…I got that nurses hat!!

Q: What’s the #1 question you get asked in the office?
A: Can you do a referral

Q: What’s one funny story from the office?
A: One day the alarm went off at the office and we were surrounded by the police. They treated the situation as if we were the hostages, and someone was hiding in the office. The guys in blue really did their job! After they left the alarm went off again! The next time, only one officer showed up.

Q: Do you have any tips for parents to make the most out of their visit with the doctor?
A: For well check ups, make sure you have your child’s immunization record before appointment…and have insurance information ready.

We had a lot of fun interviewing Deborah for this month’s staff spotlight! Next time you are in the office, be sure to ask Deborah about her dog Dallas!
