Meet the Team: Crystal Young

Our first employee spotlight of the year is Crystal Young. Crystal is a medical assistant at the Beach office. Learn a bit more about her here and say hello when you see her in the office.

Q: Where are you from?
A: Ocala, Fl

Q: What’s your favorite activity after work?
A: Working out at the gym, snuggling with my little girl on the couch watching cartoons.

Q: How many children do you have, or would you like to have?
A: I have a 6-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old stepson.

Q: Do you have pets? What kind?
A: A yellow Labrador and a miniature Schnauzer

Q: How would you describe your job at Jax Beach Pediatrics?
A: Fulfilling. I go home at the end of the day feeling like I have accomplished something. Let’s not leave out that it’s a blast, I love all my girls at the beaches.

Q: Are you what you wanted to be when you grew up?
A: I always wanted to be in the medical field……so, YES!

Q: What’s the number 1 question you get asked in the office?
A: “Is Katrina Cinca here?”

Q: Have you seen in local trends (in illness) in the area that parents have questions about?
A: RSV

Q: Do you have any tips about what parents can do to make the most of their visit with the doctor?
A: Tell the provider what you are here for “today.”

Q: Tell us one funny story from the office.
A: Well, lets just say I’ve gotten a lot of “bizarre” stories that I have had to translate for Dr. Benitez in layman terms. That’s always interesting.
