You’ve seen them smile, and probably heard them sing…How much do you know about the staff at Pediatric Care Center? Now is your chance to find out!
This month’s featured team member is Jameyra Roman!
Jamerya is a native of Puerto Rico and the town of Rio Piedras. Rio Piedras is most known as Ciudad Universitaria (University City) because it is home to the main campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Being from a country so rich in culture and history, we could talk for hours about her hometown, but we wanted to learn more about Jamerya’s favorite pastimes here on the First Coast.
Q: How would you describe your job at Jacksonville Beach Pediatric Care Center?
A: Fun and educational!
Q: Have you always wanted to work in the medical field?
A: Yes! And I am still learning…I am almost where I want to be when I grow up!
Q: What’s the #1 question you get asked in the office?
A: I get asked what “bugs” are going around.
Q: What tip would you give parents to make the most of their visit?
A: Write your questions on paper and bring with you, so you don’t forget what you need to ask us.
Q: What’s one funny story from the office?
A: We are an office full of singers and dancers, so there are hardly any dull moments. One of my favorites would be when Dr. B was dancing with two of our patients and he looked up to realize all the parents in the waiting room were watching. The look on his face was priceless!!
Q: That story is pretty funny! Ok, enough about work…what do you like to do at home?
A: I don’t have kids yet…so I spend a lot of time entertaining my miniature long hair dachsund Butters.
