Q: Nilisis, when you are not working, how do you spend your time?
A: Mostly playing with my children
Q: How many children do you have?
A: I have two children. My daughter is 8, and my son is 5 years old.
Q: Do you have pets as well?
A: No, no pets.
Q: How do you like working at Pediatric Care Center? Are you what you wanted to be when you grew up?
A: I enjoy working here, my job is great and we have a great team! I am studying nursing, so yes, I am in the right place!
Q: Awesome! While in the office, what types of questions do you most often hear from parents?
A: Many parents like to know what bugs or illnesses are going around; so I typically get asked if there is a bug or certain illness that we are treating a lot.
Q: What have you been seeing a lot of lately?
A: Quite a few RSV cases and ear infections.
Tip: RSV is a common germ that causes cold like symptoms. Learn more about RSV >>
Q: What do you tell parents to help them prepare for their next visit to the office?
A: Make sure to have questions ready! When you have doubts or more questions, be sure to ask before you leave!
Q: Do you have a funny story from the office that you can share with us?
A: It was a crazy Monday night and we are ready to leave. Lacey set the alarm and we locked the doors. As we walked out we closed the gate, said our good byes and went home. About two hours later I get a phone call that we had locked Dr. Patel in and she couldn’t leave. All I have to say is not only was it funny but it was pretty embarrassing as well.
